Residents of Stanton Avenue have raised concerns over a van that has been parked on the pavement for more than a week, blocking pedestrian access.
The van, which is reportedly uninsured and without a valid MOT, has led to safety worries, especially for elderly residents, parents with prams, and children walking to school.
One concerned resident expressed frustration, saying, “It’s been here for well over a week, and it’s completely blocking the pavement.
“We’re having to walk onto the road, which isn’t safe for anyone—especially the elderly and parents with toddlers or prams.”
Another resident highlighted the daily risks, adding, “Children are walking to school and have to step into the street to get around it.
It’s not safe, and we’re all hoping someone comes forward to move it soon.”
Authorities have not yet commented on whether the van has been abandoned, but questions about its lack of insurance and MOT have prompted discussions about its removal to restore safety to the area.
Residents continue to appeal for anyone with information about the vehicle’s owner to come forward.
