The area around Willow Sports Centre has become a notorious spot for parking issues, with multiple vehicles lining the pavements, causing inconvenience and potential hazards for those navigating the area on foot.

The situation worsens around university pick-up and drop-off hours, adding to the frustration of those who live nearby.

One resident described the scene as “madness,” noting that “you should come around Willow Sports Centre near Cavendish Court at drop-off and pick-up times at the uni.”

Another frustrated local added, “It’s not just about inconvenience. It’s unsafe for pedestrians, especially those with mobility challenges or parents with prams.”

The images taken over the last few days show a grey Mercedes, a silver SEAT, and a white Range Rover parked along the pavements, completely obstructing the pathway.

This issue, residents say, has been an ongoing problem, and they are calling for the authorities to take action to regulate parking in the area.
