Police in Derby have introduced a dispersal order in Normanton following reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.

The order allows officers to instruct anyone engaging in, or suspected of engaging in, anti-social behaviour to leave the area for up to 48 hours. Those who refuse or return within the specified time could face arrest, the force confirmed.

The measures, which will remain in place until 1:30pm on Saturday, were implemented in response to “issues with street drinkers and nuisance beggars,” according to police.
