Derby man Mohammed Naeem found hanging outside window in desperate escape bid

A Derby man, Mohammed Naeem, was arrested after a dramatic escape attempt that ended with him hanging out of a second-story window in Leicestershire.

Officers PC Holmes-Small and PC Williams had been searching for Naeem with assistance from the local policing unit, visiting various addresses across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, and Leicestershire.

Their search led them to an address in Leicestershire, where a woman initially refused entry, claiming she “didn’t get on with” Naeem and insisting he wasn’t present.

Officers forced entry, ultimately finding Naeem clinging to an upstairs bedroom window in a last-ditch effort to escape. PC Holmes-Small managed to detain Naeem at the scene.

Naeem was arrested for failing to appear in court, and Sgt Nizzer authorized multiple charges, including failing to stop for police, driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, and possession of a Class B drug.

Additional charges included driving without third-party motor insurance and driving without due care and attention.

Naeem has been remanded into prison custody and awaits his court appearance.
