In a statement, the force said its sergeant authorised 80 charges – a figure reached through a diligent review process with his team.
Among these charges are cases of theft, various public order offences, drug possession, assault — including four incidents against police officers — and a range of driving violations, from dangerous driving to driving without insurance or while using a mobile device.

Notably, charges have also been brought for cases involving dangerous dogs.
Offenders also face charges for allowing out-of-control dogs and failing to meet conditions for keeping XL Bully breeds.
In addition to filing charges, the police maintained a strong focus on community engagement, making arrests and releasing offenders on bail for further investigation where needed.
Reflecting on the month’s achievements, the force praised its team and the support from Inspector Potts, the Local Policing Unit, the custody investigation team, and custody officers, who all contributed to ensuring community safety.
