A Derby road was closed for almost 12 hours after a man was attacked and now police are trying to get the identity of the victim.
Officers responded to reports of a man being assaulted on Kedleston Road, near the Jonty Farmer, at around 3:40 am on Sunday, September 1.
Police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or has information that could assist with the investigation to come forward. They are particularly eager to identify the injured man, who has not yet been located.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire police said: “We are appealing for information to help our enquiry into the assault of a man in a street in Derby. The assault took place in Kedleston Road, near the junction with Bromley Street, at around 3.40am and saw a man assaulted by two other men.
“Officers are keen to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident – in particular the identity of the injured man who has yet to be traced. Anyone with information is asked to contact us including reference 24*521380.”
