A Derby suburb that is known for being posh and safe endured a night of crime-terror this week.
Thieves targeted the area, which is close to Royal Derby Hospital, on Tuesday, November 12. The crime spree continued into Wednesday, November 13.
It all began around 11.45 pm when a blank Land Rover Discovery was stolen at a property on Dean Close. The car had been parked outside the driveway of the Littleover home.

A stone’s throw away, on King’s Drive, daring masked thieves pounced on King’s Drive, Derby. The thieves hit another car parked on the driveway and stole goods from the car.
That incident is thought to have happened between midnight on Tuesday, and 8.30 am on Wednesday. Derbyshire Police have launched an investigation.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We received reports of a vehicle being stolen in Littleover at 11.45 pm on Tuesday 12 November. The black Land Rover Discovery was taken from a property in Dean Close.
“Investigations into the incident are ongoing.”
Regarding the incident on Kings Drive, a spokesperson for Debry Police said: “We received reports of items having been taken from vehicles parked on the driveway of a property in Kings Drive, Derby.
“The incident occurred between midnight on Tuesday 12 November and 8.30 am on Wednesday 13 November. Investigations are ongoing.”
Derby Now understands the two incidents are not being treated as related.
