Lanes have been closed after a car accident on the A38 in Sutton in Ashfield, affecting bus travel to Derby.
The accident has affected Derby bound bus 9.1 and a diversion will be in place while some stops will be missed. Bus operator Trent Barton confirmed the accident.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Accident on the A38 in Sutton in Ashfield Derby bound 9.1 will be using Spring road and Kirkby road then the A38 missing the following stops: Cemetery, Percy Street, Nursery Ave, Mapplewells Henning lane, Fonton hall drive, and The Snipe.
“Mansfield bound is normal route”
Traffic reporting app AA reports that the accident was first reported just before 3pm. A website alert reads: “Crash, lanes closed, queueing Traffic, on the Roundabout
One lane closed and queueing traffic due to a crash on A38 both ways at M1 J28 (Alfreton / Mansfield). On the roundabout. One (of three) lanes is closed.”
Maps and Waze show mild traffic building up in the area.
Nottingham Police have been contacted for comment.
