A large tractor hauling massive tree trunks down Mill Lane in Grassmoor has sparked safety concerns among residents.

Residents spotted what they described as an “unsecured, hazardous load”. Photos show several tree trunks piled high on the tractor, seemingly without any visible restraints.

One concerned resident voiced alarm on social media: Can we talk about how dangerous this is? Massive tree trunks with not one piece of equipment to secure them.

Others expressed doubts about the safety, with one remarking, “I remember getting killed by one of these as a kid, however, people were made tougher in my childhood and I walked it off.”

“The road’s clear, and he’s travelling slow, probably very mindful of who and what’s around him!” and questioned why the resident would take a picture instead of addressing the issue.

Despite mixed reactions, the images have highlighted potential safety concerns for heavy-duty vehicles carrying unsecured loads through residential areas. One commenter even suggested escalating the situation to authorities, writing, “Send it to the police—you have the reg number.”
