The Casualty Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) has released the locations where mobile speed cameras will be operational across Derbyshire throughout September.

The initiative aims to reduce the number of fatalities and serious injuries on the county’s roads. Speed-monitoring vans will be stationed at various sites, including city centre roads in Derby and towns such as Chesterfield, Long Eaton, and Matlock Bath.

Some cameras will also be placed around the Peak District to monitor traffic in rural areas. The full list of locations has been published, but CREST has reminded drivers that additional sites may be monitored.

A spokesperson for CREST commented: “Please be aware that we will be at other locations across Derbyshire. Remember, we can’t be everywhere, but we will be somewhere.”

They added, “Drive slowly, carefully, to the speed limit and weather conditions for the protection of yourself and other road users.”
