Owners of a missing Derbyshire bird have issued an urgent appeal after their bird went missing on Wednesday, August 14.
Pippin, a tame Pineapple Green Cheek Conure, is said to love sitting on heads and shoulders. The bird was last seen in Buxworth, Derbyshire.
The owners believe there have been a few sightings since and have shared instructions on how to recall the bird if sighted. In an urgent appeal, they wrote: “Please listen and look out for Pippin.
“There have been a few possible sightings, so I’m hopeful he is still out there. This is his call, if you see or hear him and play this video he should call back to you, possibly come to you and land on your shoulder. If possible, take a pic, call me and I will get there ASAP”
The owners say as winter approaches, Pippin’s prospects could be dire, warning: “As the weather gets colder, time is running out.”
They have now offered a £1,000 reward for the safe return of the bird.
