A police car with blue lights on crashed in a Derbyshire town, bringing the busy centre to a standstill.
The accident occurred this morning (Wednesday, November 27) in Chesterfield. A marked police car, that had been responding to an incident collided with a white Range Rover.
Saltergate and Glumangate were closed after the accident for two and a half hours. Images from the scene showed several police cars responding to the accident.

One police car, a hatchback can be seen with extensive damage to the front. The white Range Rover is seen, at an angle with some damage.
The extent of the damage to both cars has not been revealed. Police say nobody was seriously hurt in the crash and both vehicles were towed away from the accident scene.
What the authorities said after a police car with blue lights on crashes
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: “A collision between a police car, which was responding to an incident on blue lights, and a Range Rover occurred at the junction of Saltergate and Glumangate just before 10 am today (27 November).
“There are not believed to be any serious physical injuries as a result of the collision and the road reopened at 12.30 pm after the vehicles had been recovered.”
